h its limestone cliffs formations and crystal clear waters are awesome and that almost took my breath away. Swimming in the cleanest lake in the Philippines fresh water lake (with a bit of salt water) in the Philippines is an experience that every Filipino should have. The entire area is perfect for taking portrait shots with limestone cliffs in the background and clean lake in the middle ground. It is the scenic landscape, crystal clear waters, that attracts and fascinates most foreign & local’s travelers.
TWIN LAGOON- These twin lagoons are separated by limestone cliffs with a small underwater tunnel where a brave tourist could swim underneath. It is dangerous which adds to the appeal and challenge to tourist who dare to go to both lagoons. You need to take a deep breath and do a deep swim to avoid the jagged edges of the limestone cliffs. Best to stop by when its low tide so easier to swim trough inside.
ISLAND HOPPING - To go on Island hopping is something you ought to do. We are sited in the middle of a huge ocean, with thousands of small undiscovered islands and islets that mark Coron harbor and Coron bay, and explore the shallow waters and mangroves in a kayak or in a banca (paddle boat). Motorized banca proceeds to nearby beaches for more Island activities like kayaking, snorkeling and swimming. This is a popular picnic spot among the locals. Cruise along Coron Island’s twin lagoons and small coves. Coron Island’s karst formations towering out of aquamarine waters are outstanding at any time of day. Lunch is taken on a white sand beach or on board.

SIETE PECADOS - The place was named after seven islets limestone rocks or islets located at the entrance of Coron Bay called Siete Pecados. Declared as a marine protected area, it houses good coral reefs and coral fishes. Snorkeling in the area would make you feel that you are really in a different world! Different corals and colorful fishes are abundant, just bring bread crumbs or left-over rice and they will voluntary come to you for a shows.
BANOL BEACH - is just one of the many white sand beaches you can find on the island of Coron, Palawan. It is a small, cozy beach with two small huts which you can rent from the local folk. There is an entrance fee; it’s a token amount easily affordable. The water was blue and pristine. The place is quiet and relaxing. It is a good location for snorkeling and kayaking since the numerous limestone cliffs surrounding the large island of Coron are worth exploring from the sea. Usually it’s the stopped place for picnic Lunch.
SKELETON WRECK - Located in Coron Island, near Beach 91 and Atuayan Beach, you can reach Skeleton wreck via a 30 minute boat ride from Coron town. It has one of the shallowest shipwreck sites in Coron and the wreck is visible from the surface of the water. There is a rich coral garden with groups of fishes, making it one of the best snorkeling sites in Coron Island.
HOTSPRING - Free-flowing hot mineral rich salt water trapped in a man-made pool will surely soothe your weary bones, volcanically heated water comes out of the spring around 40C (105F). There are two hot pools adjacent to the spring, both cascades down into a larger pool which might be about 33C. On the far end of the large pool, between the mangrove forests, the water flows directly into the sea. You can jump down into this water too and get a therapeutic mix of hot and cold!. A dip in this pool will relax tense and soothe aching muscles & Rejuvenated. Maquinit hot springs therapeutic and natural spa. Luxuriate in salty hot waters for 20 minutes, said to be therapeutic. Best time to soak visit is about 4 to 7pm with an entrance fee of P100.
CYC BEACH - There are huge families of very large, healthy sea urchins. These are the types Japanese love to eat! Just by the shore, you can see many small fishes swimming by. There was a small school of fish it takes a boat ride for 15 minutes from Coron town enjoy the beach, swimming, snorkeling; relax while waiting for the sunset there are also numbers of boats for hire including packages that include food and tour guides. Or do it yourself by walking down the beach and hiring a boat with paddle boats to lagoons, mangrove tours, bird watching, exploring uninhabited islands, picnic lunches or sunbathing in a white sand beach or even go bottom hand line fishing is also available here.
BARRACUDA LAKE - The Barracuda Lake is eerie as it is beautiful. This is where hot and cold, fresh and salty waters meet under the surface. The friendly shrimps that nibble on your fingers welcome you to the lake when you first step in. Try diving in this lake and you will have a very unique experience. The limestone cliffs rise sharply above you and dive deep into the lake. The lake is crystal clear and blue. There are catfish and other small fish around. We were told there was a barracuda, but we never saw it. Your first impression of this lake was that I was in the shooting location of Jurassic Park!
